Losing these last 15 pounds of baby weight is like walking through Times Square on New Years Eve. My weight won’t budge. I’ve been stuck on the same weight for 5 months. The extra pounds aren’t really my concern, it’s my pocket-book. Winter is here, and I can’t afford a new wardrobe.
So, I’m back in the saddle again and on a mission to lose this weight. To keep me motivated, here are my goals to stay on track.
Goal #1: Start Exercising
Ah, the resistance to exercise continues. Last week, determined to run, I loaded up the girls in the jogging stroller with my dog Miles on a leash. Hit the driveway, and gosh darn it, I had 2 flat tires!
In my B.K. (before kids) life, I was an avid runner and even completed 2 marathons. When the girls were newborn, ahem premies, we cruised in my jogging stroller 3 times a week. Then summer hit, and I went back to work. With less hours in my day, I’m now unmotivated move.
So this week, I bought an air pump to inflate those flat tires. I’m going to exercise. Repeat, I’m going to exercise.
Goal #2: Start dieting
I joined weight watchers at work recently. My first mini goal is to lose 5 pounds.
So, start small they say. Exercise once, just once. I’m going to count calories. Old wardrobe, here I come!
